UNESCO is seeking for international consultancy for the project “Addressing gender-based violence in higher education institutions”

Gender-based violence (GBV) is a widespread issue that manifests in various forms – physical, verbal, sexual, psychological, and socioeconomic – across different settings, including higher education institutions (HEIs). It can affect students, faculty, and administrative staff alike. Addressing GBV in HEIs requires robust data collection and analysis to understand its prevalence, nature, and impact, as well as the effectiveness of existing response mechanisms.

UNESCO is undertaking an initiative to collect and analyze data on GBV in higher education. The insights gained will guide the development of recommendations to prevent and address GBV in HEIs, while also equipping policymakers, higher education institutions, civil society, and other stakeholders with reliable data to combat this issue. This initiative aligns with the 2030 Agenda, particularly SDG 4 (targets 4.3, 4.5, and 4.a) and SDG 5.

UNESCO is seeking a qualified consultant(s) to support the implementation of Phase II of this project.
