From September 30 to October 2, 2024, the UNESCO Chairs and Partners Forum will be held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, under the patronage of Her Excellency Sahle-Work Zewde, President of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia. The event, titled “Transforming Knowledge for Africa’s Future,” aims to enhance interdisciplinary research collaboration and foster effective South-South and South-South-North partnerships.
The forum will focus on reshaping narratives about Africa’s future and mobilizing diverse knowledge traditions to overcome existing barriers and promote sustainable development across the continent. A special exhibition will also be held, showcasing the achievements of projects led by UNESCO Chairs and UNITWIN Networks.
This event will serve as a vital platform for discussing new approaches to generating, sharing, and utilizing knowledge, paving the way for a more just, sustainable, and prosperous future for Africa.
