UNESCO’s International Institute for Higher Education in Latin America & the Caribbean (IESALC) announces the online conference ‘Next Generation: Reflections and Future Perspectives on Higher Education in the Former Soviet Union’ on 14 and 15 February. Reimagining the Futures of Higher Education towards 2050<\/b><\/em><\/div>\n

The University of the Future Network (UFN), in partnership with UNESCO, is organizing an online conference hosted by the University of South Africa (UNISA) with the aim of bringing together global higher education stakeholders to rethink and reimagine the futures of higher education. “Reimagining the Futures of Higher Education towards 2050\u2033<\/b>, aims to stimulate discussions on futures research methodologies and policy development for higher education. Register here:  “Reimagining the Futures of Higher Education Towards 2050” – University of the Future Network<\/a><\/em><\/div>\n

UNESCO 3rd<\/sup> World Higher Education Conference (WHEC2022)<\/b><\/em><\/div>\n
Barcelona, 18-20 May 2022<\/b><\/em><\/div>\n
The 3rd World Higher Education Conference (WHEC2022) will respond to the challenges faced by humanity and the planet, with special attention to the global disruption created by the COVID-19 pandemic. On the theme ‘Reinventing Higher Education for a Sustainable Future<\/b>‘, WHEC2022 will offer new knowledge, innovative ideas, foster creative alliances, and produce an enlarged and reinvigorated coalition of the global higher education community in favour of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and beyond. The report of UNESCO’s Global Independent Expert Group on the Universities and the 2030 Agenda: ‘Knowledge-driven actions: Transforming higher education for global sustainability<\/a>‘, will be officially launched.<\/em><\/div>\n

UNESCO Chairs and UNITWIN Networks are invited to contribute to WHEC2022 by preparing policy briefs, consultations, and short videos.
