The Scientific and Technical Library named for Hryhorii Denysenko, Rector of Kyiv Polytechnic Institute (KPI) from 1971 to 1987, has been recognized as Ukraine\u2019s Best Library of 2024, marking a stellar achievement for the institution.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This recognition comes from the annual All-Ukrainian competition, \u201cLibrary of the Year,\u201d which is staged by the Ukrainian Library Association in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine. The competition is held on the occasion of the All-Ukrainian Library Day, celebrated on September 30, a professional holiday for all employees in the national library sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The KPI Library was praised for the \u201cModern Educational Safe CLUST Space\u201d project, which established the first innovative air raid shelter in Ukraine. It is worth noting too that the University of Sheffield donated \u00a320,000 to help rebuild this smart shelter. The UK university is also sharing its library facilities, so that students and staff at KPI can access a vast range of online journals, texts and resources to support their studies. The two universities became partners in August 2022 as part of the \u2018twinning\u2019 initiative led by Universities UK International.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This reflects the dedication and perseverance of the Kyiv Polytechnic Library team. Year after year, the staff upholds the library\u2019s reputation as the largest and best technical university library in Ukraine. Despite the ongoing war and extremely challenging circumstances, the library continues to render high-quality educational and scientific services to the entire KPI community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today, the KPI Library stands as a modern, digital, and innovative educational hub that keeps pace with global trends.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Hryhorii Denysenko Scientific and Technical Library remains a \u201cshoulder of strength\u201d of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute. Each month, it welcomes more than 70,000 visitors who come to study, advance in knowledge, conduct research, and conceive new projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
