We are very proud to confirm that the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) has granted their patronage to the 58th LIYSF.
The Division of the Natural Sciences Sector for UNESCO have recognised LIYSF 2016 as an important event for students of science gathered around the world. UNESCO encourages international peace and universal respect for human rights by promoting collaboration among nations.
At LIYSF this year, we will provide students with greater insight into UNESCO, with Professor Romain Murenzi giving the key note address. Professor Murenzi has just been announced the new Director of the Division of Science Policy and Capacity Building at UNESCO. Nobel Prize Winner, Professor Ada Yonath, a UNESCO L’Oréal Laureate, will also give the closing address at LIYSF this year.
